About Light of Stars

Light of Stars is a large-scale illuminated installation created for cathedrals, heritage spaces and public buildings. Handcrafted paper stars are suspended through the architecture to create a distinctive visual setting for visitors, services, performance, learning, community activity and events. The first full installation took place at Bath Abbey in winter 2024/25, with Leicester Cathedral confirmed for winter 2026/27.

About Paper Starlights

Light of Stars is created by Paper Starlights, an independent UK company established in 1996. Paper Starlights has worked with skilled makers in India for three decades, producing handmade paper star lanterns using traditional printing, folding and assembly processes. Light of Stars brings that material knowledge and maker relationship into architectural-scale installations.
